There are some ‘symptoms’ to look out for in your conversations or engagement survey data – if your managers find goals ‘unambitious’, or are spending time on undocumented goals, this may be an indicator of misalignment. 🚩🚩🚩

A simple way to explore this - ask your managers in your next 1:1: “Do you feel comfortable explaining how your day-to-day fits into our strategy to a new team member?”

If you don’t get a consistent yes, time to do some communicating.
